Fraunhofer USA Internships

During my internship in the Microbiology group at the Center for Molecular Biotechnology I was involved in several aspects of antibiotics discovery. I received training in the isolation and characterization of novel soil derived bacterial strains and got to know a variety of different purification processes of antimicrobial agents.

Looking back, my intern experience has been really good. The CESE people are awesome and it's cool to see so many different and exciting projects going on at the same time.

Working at the Center is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to get an inside look into research and experience an international environment. The team at Fraunhofer CMB is very welcoming and I am happy to say that I have found many good friends here!
